The 1920's were also known as "The Roaring Twenties." During this period not only jazz music emerged but also dance. The Jazz Age came about post World War 1, the era ended with the beginning of The Great Depression.

Cocktails, Books, and the KKK
Cocktails became a huge thing in the 20's, they were saved at parties and gatherings during the Prohibition Era. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald was said to be the most famous book of this era, which told the fictional story of Jay Gatsby and exposed the amount of Consumerism. The KKK were portrayed as the protector of traditional values and opposes of immigration.
But, I bet you didn't know that they weren't just against African Americans. They were against anyone that broke the law, regardless of race.
