Most white men hated Jackie soly based on his skin color. His own team even started a petition to remove him from the team. He is one of the bravest men ever because he was the first black to ever play in major league baseball.

Jackie Robinson was a star in multiple sports and not just baseball. He stared in football, basketball, track. He played those sports at UCLA and also won a ping-pong championship

Jackie Robinson: Legacy

He wanted blacks all over the country of the U.S to be able to play ball anywhere.

He knew that with this step of him playing major league baseball. He knew that blacks would see him as a role model and that they would most likely follow in his footsteps.
