Snacks for State Testing
Do you know a talented 7th grader? The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation is in search of high-achieving 7th-grade students to apply to this unique five-year, pre-college scholarship. Students selected to be Cooke Young Scholars will receive academic and college counseling, funding for enrichment activities, and the opportunity to join a community of ambitious peers.

6th Grade Students
The 6th-grade counselor Mrs. Perez was visiting Social Studies classrooms on Monday, Feb. 26th (Mr. Burris) and Wednesday, Feb. 28th (Ms. Johnson) to talk about pre-enrollment for 7th grade. Students came home with forms for parents to go over and sign. Forms are due back to Mrs. Perez by Monday, March 6th.
The packet includes explo or elective class sign up, Spanish 1 for 7th graders (for high school credit) information, and Student Aid form.

Spring Sports
Any student wishing to participate in a Spring sport must have a sports physical submitted and all digital forms completed on Rank One (https://normanpublic.rankonesport.com/New/Home.aspx) before they can participate in practice.

8th Grade Guidance and High School Transition
Please review the Norman North course catalog with your student and select the elective courses they would like to take next year. Please be aware that all freshman students will be enrolled in Honors English and Oklahoma History, math and science selections will be based upon what courses your students are taking in 8th grade. We are holding an informational meeting Tuesday, March 13th from 6:30-7:30pm at the Administrative Services Center, 131 S. Flood Ave.
Parents and Students can hear from current AVID Students regarding how AVID has improved their ability to be successful in school to prepare them for college success.
