Robert Hunter Report
Feb. 21, 2021
Feb. 21, 2021
Dear Robert Hunter families,
This year has certainly been full of challenges, uncertainties, and changes. We thank you for your ongoing support as we have remained a strong school community throughout it all.
We know that Dr. McGann’s letter has brought up many new questions. Please know that the proposed reopening brings questions for us as well that we will need to work on addressing to ensure all of our students are set up for a successful final trimester.
Most of the questions that we have received so far from families are regarding virtual instruction and the deadline for switching to in-person/remote learning. We can assure you that high quality virtual instruction will continue to be offered, and we will work to create as seamless a transition as possible for our children who choose this model. We are currently going through all of the details with our staff and the Pandemic Response Team. We will be relaying information to you as we solidify plans. In the meanwhile, you can certainly delay your request for a change to in-person/remote learning until we can provide more details.
We encourage you to attend Monday’s board meeting and we are hoping to provide more specifics for our Robert Hunter families in our next newsletter. Please continue to reach out with your questions and concerns. Even if we can’t provide all of the answers now, we want to hear from you, so we can best advocate for the needs of our students and families.
Once again, we thank you for your patience and your partnership.
Mrs. Glaab and Mrs. Braynor

Material Pick up
It is essential that all virtual students pick up materials that are prepared by the teachers. In order to participate effectively in instruction, students must have these materials. Material pick will continue to be required as part of virtual learning and is expected of our virtual families. Please reach out to Mrs. Glaab or Mrs. Braynor if you have a concern regarding pick-up.
Due to COVID-19, in-person registration will not be held. Please see details here regarding registration materials that need to be completed and dropped off at Robert Hunter: https://www.frsd.k12.nj.us/Domain/49
Registration materials can be dropped off outside the building from February 22-25, 2021.
Mindfulness with Pratyush Sinha Foundation
We are excited to have Prabha Sinha from the Pratyush Sinha Foundation join Robert Hunter classes to teach about mindfulness. This instruction will be integrated into our PE program and will provide students tools that will assist with self-awareness and emotional regulation. We are looking forward to bringing this great program to Robert Hunter!
