WEEKLY WONDERS
Charles Ellis Montessori Academy, Week of Feb. 14th, 2022
"every subject of our interest and study can be related to human beings, who have toiled, often starved, to overcome obstacles for its understanding, and to give us knowledge free from such pains. Everything is the fruit of a human soul, and we incarnate this harvest in education, this treasury of riches handed on to us by man. We must ourselves feel- and inspire in the children-admiration for all pioneers, known and unknown, possessors of the flame which has lighted the path of humanity." Maria Montessori
Like dancing, Montessori Education requires both balance and strength. In our thinking we must work our brain muscles to acquire all the information we need to reach a point of understanding and a balanced perspective. We must look out into the world to become curious and to forge new relationships with people we may not yet know. Also we must be great listeners, so that we can hear each other's hearts and the music of this universal dance.
Looking forward to a great BOOSTERTHON DANCE PARTY on THURSDAY!!!!!!
Peace
Ms. Tanya

The Bobcat Roar
Many of you know that Erdkinder Communications students write and produce a weekly school broadcast, The Bobcat Roar. Students use the program WeVideo, a collaborative video software compatible with Chromebooks, to record the audio, add music, transitions, and video backgrounds on multiple tracks. Many thanks to PTA for funding the yearly subscription to WeVideo! With this subscription, students working on The Bobcat Roar can simultaneously contribute to the success of each episode from their own devices in school or at home.
New this week: students are using CANVA to create their own creative backgrounds for The Bobcat Roar. Listen and now VIEW each week for new interpretations.
Peace out, Bobcats!
Visit The Bobcat Roar to catch the latest episode!
