George Handel
Born February 23,1685 in Halle, Germany. George Handel made his first appearance as an opera composer in 1704. One of his most famous oratorios (lengthy musical piece where the music tells the story) is “Messiah.” He died leaving us with some great musical pieces.
Johann Sebastian Bach
Bach was born on March 31st, Born in Eisenach, Thuringia, Germany. He was an excellent composer. One of his most famous works in 1707 was called, “Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit.” In english this is called. Also he published “jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” in English, and this is especially famous. Bach made his works with the influence of the bible.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Mozart a well known composer was born January 27, 1756 in Salzburg, Austria. Most definitely the most well known of the three. One of Mozart's most famous works is “The Magic Flute.” Mozart was truly a prolific artist.
Baroque
Baroque expresses the fundamental order of the universe, but at the same time is always lively and tuneful. Lasted from about 1600 to 1750.
Roccoco
Roccoco is not as well known as baroque. Roccoco was also called style galante. A famous composer during this time was Johann Christian Bach.
Peasents
Most were free but still owed things that forced them to labor. Worked in industry and public work projects. The poor could enjoy gin drinking, cock fights and gambling.
