CREATING RODEO BOLO TIES
OMA Visual Arts Specialist Travis Boswell developed an arts integration lesson based on the Fiesta de los Vaqueros, Rodeo traditions at Van Buskirk Elementary, and Arizona History with students creating bolo ties. Uniquely Southwestern, and claimed to originate in Arizona, the bolo tie is our state's official neckwear and will be fun to see our kids wearing during the parade and if they visit the Rodeo!
