Everyday Behavior Management StrategiesCourse Num: 163 (3)
This course will provide an overview of the most frequent problem behaviors that occur in the classroom and how to intervene according to the function of the behavior. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and get feedback based on their experiences.

Google Extensions for the ClassroomCourse Num: 256 (3)
Google Chrome has a library of special tools you can access through the browser called Extensions that can make your life in the classroom easier. Plus, when you use Chrome, all of the apps, extensions and web history are stored in the cloud, so wherever you login, they are literally at your fingertips. In this workshop, you will learn the differences between Apps and Extensions and how they can be used to meet the needs of all learners. Participants will leave this workshop with our favorite Extensions loaded on their Chrome accounts. In addition, we will focus the majority of the time demonstrating Read&Write for Google, which offers a powerful range of support tools to help students gain confidence with reading, writing, studying and research.

The Kinesthetic Classroom: Teaching and Learning Through MovementCourse Num: 180 (3)
Modeling dynamic movement and kinesthetic activity to enliven K – 2 classroom content is a key part of this course. In addition, this course will focus on discovering the connection between movement, the brain and learning. We will discuss and examine implicit learning, class cohesion activities, content – based kinesthetic activities, brain breaks and energizers.

Cheating In A Digital Learning EnvironmentCourse Num: 221 (3)
The digital world has changed the way we teach and the way students learn. With the wonderful things technology brings, it also comes with a new set of challenges in maintaining integrity in the learning process and, as a result, in the classroom. This workshop is designed to start the conversation to consider the role of the learning environment in influencing academic integrity. We will also discuss practical suggestions for how to design and teach courses that foster intrinsic motivation, facilitate mastery learning, and create a growth mindset in students.

New Health Rules for AdultsCourse Num: 254 (3)
We love our children and our students, but we need to focus on our health too! In this course we will discuss health rules and tips for adults in their 30's, 40's 50's. We'll learn why things like why midriff and belly fat contributes to a decreased immune system. We'll also learn easy tips to get rid of that fat. We'll discus tips to prevent varicose veins, boost your brain power, and improve your well being. Lastly, we'll learn about health myths that you can ignore.

Using Edulastic.com as an Assessment ToolCourse Num: 271 (3)
Come learn how to use Edulastic.com as an online assessment tool. You can choose from pre-made assessment questions aligned to the CCSS or create your own. There are a lot of tech enhanced question formats to choose from such as select all that apply, drag and drop, sentence correction, graphing, and classification. Edulastic makes it easy by grading assignments for you with the option for you to grade open-ended questions manually and provide personalized feedback on individual questions or assignments. Online reports show student mastery by standard and allow teachers to quickly identify areas of strength and weakness. Edulastic.com is a great way to assess students as well as prepare them for online tests such as the PARCC. Participants will create accounts and assignments during this session, so please bring a device with you.
