Welcome to Week One!
This is your week 1 Newsletter - It includes events you may attend to gain points for the challenge, as well as reminders and updates from the Wellness and Health Promotion staff. Remember, this year there are 3 events each week: one lunch-time, one evening-time, and one any-time event to cater to everyone's schedule.
Week One is focused on Goal Setting - top-level athletes, business-people, and achievers in all fields set goals. Setting goals gives you long-term vision and short-term motivation. This challenge is all about you, so identifying your personal goals will help push you toward success!
The challenge is about deciding which points are important to you - pick the events and healthy habits that matter to you!

Kickoff Keynote with Aydian Dowling
Aydian kicks off Seattle U's 2016 Anne Carragher Wellness Challenge as he shares his personal story regarding the Men's Health Ultimate Guy Contest - his goals, staying motivated, and overcoming obstacles.
Aydian is an FTM transgender businessman, activist, and model who has gained world-wide recognition as a lead contender in 2015's Men's Health Magazine search for the "Ultimate Men's Health Guy". Aydian and five other contestants were featured on November 2015 Men's Health Special Edition cover, making Aydian the first transgender person to land the cover and a feature in Men's Health, breaking down stereotypes of what defines a man.
Goal Setting Session
Wednesday January 13, 2016
12pm - 1pm
This challenge is about you! Each participant sets a personal improvement goal and works toward that every week. Bring your lunch and join us for a brief informational and goal setting session! Personal trainers will be available to answer questions and help anyone setting goals about physical wellness!
Challenge Week 1
Meet with your full team of 4 any time week 1 of the challenge to discuss your personal improvement goals and strategy for success. Discuss how you'll encourage each other to stay motivated and accountable. Plan what events you'll attend and schedule future team check ins. (Schedule of events coming soon.)

You will receive your week 1 scorecard no later than 1pm on Monday Jan. 11th, 2016. Remember: the link you receive will be unique to you, allowing you to save and return to the scorecard throughout the week.
Please Note: This week's scorecard will be due Tuesday January 19th by noon (due to the MLK holiday).
