"Where We Learn, We Grow"
A Great First Week of School
Our year has started off well. Our hallways are filled with laughter, the cafeteria full of smiles, and the playground full of fun!
Students have come to school ready to learn, grow and help each other out! Thank you for helping your son or daughter show up each day!
Together in Learning, Mrs. Rittmiller
Visitors to Hilltop Elementary
If you need to visit Hilltop Elementary School during the student day, please approach the front doors. The wall (on your right) has a camera and speaker system. Simply push the button. We will be able to communicate with you through this system.
Caught you Being Good Slips and You Matter!
You Matter! This week we recognized the following students at Hilltop for Mattering to our Hilltop Community! Great job to: Reece Rehm, Eva McCormick and Lance McInnis
Opportunities for Learning and Behaviors
Below you will see a graphic that outlines some behaviors that could need reteaching opportunities. Students have been learning about what Giant PRIDE is using a chromebook, using the bathroom, cafeteria, on the playground and working with students and adults at Hilltop. As a staff we know the importance of communicating with our students and families. We will give more explicit ideas within this structure and provide more details moving forward.
Grade 5 - Eagle Bluff
As a school community, input from our local health community, survey results from our 5th grade families, changes in Eagle Bluff requirements, and staff input, we are ensuring the health and safety of our students and staff. We have made the decision to postpone the Eagle Bluff field trip this fall.
After receiving the final surveys we had families both in support and not in support of the field trip at this time. Eagle Bluff has also made changes to their initial plan with housing and wearing face coverings at all times in public spaces inside all buildings (classroom, lobby, hallway, and in dorm rooms unless showering or brushing teeth).
We will be working on scheduling a field trip or experience similar in the spring of 2022 for this 5th grade class.
We appreciate your time in helping us make an informed decision with Eagle Bluff.
