IN CASE YOU MISSED IT!
Hello Livingston Public Schools Community!
First, I want to recognize and thank our entire staff for all of their hard work, particularly over the past two weeks. It has not been easy to keep our schools open during this latest surge of Covid. We have only been able to do so as a result of the professionalism, dedication, perseverance, and tireless effort of our LPS Team. READ MORE...
NEW LPS COVID-19 REPORTING FORM
Beginning today, Tuesday, January 18, 2022, if a staff member or student has tested positive for Covid-19 or is experiencing symptoms, that student or staff member should stay home and, instead of emailing or calling their school nurse, please fill out THIS FORM.
LIVINGSTON PARENT LEARNING SERIES: February 2022
Dear LPS Families,
For the month of February, we are excited to share a variety of new workshops for parents! Please review the selections carefully, as some require pre-registration to participate. We look forward to the opportunity to learn, create, contribute, and grow with you! View February workshops HERE.
ADDITIONAL IN-DISTRICT COVID-19 TESTING
Starting the week of January 10, 2022, COVID-19 testing will be available to LPS staff, students and families every Tuesday from 3:30-5:30 p.m. AND every Thursday from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The District is partnering with BacktoWork Solutions for the testing. Click here to register for a quick Telemed Evaluation. Following the Telemed Evaluation you will be invited to schedule your COVID test, which takes place at the Riker Hill Media Center.
Uploading Student Vaccination Cards
Some parents have asked how they can upload their child’s vaccination card to our Genesis System, since vaccinated individuals do not have to quarantine as often as those who are unvaccinated. Although vaccination or proof of vaccination is not required to attend Livingston Public Schools, if your student is vaccinated, it is helpful to have vaccination cards uploaded into the Genesis Parent Portal. We can use the information on the card for contact tracing and quarantining purposes.
If you would like to upload a copy of your child’s vaccination card for Covid-19, please take the following steps:
Once in the portal:
Click on the “Forms” tab.
Click on the “COVID statement/vaccination card upload” form.
Scroll down to “Vaccination Statement.”
Click the "Choose File" box.
Choose the file to upload. A PDF of the card is preferred.
Choose "Upload File."
Thank you for your continued partnership!
LPS Equity Team
AFFINITY GROUP SIGN-UP:The LPS Equity Team has been working with the LPS community to create "affinity groups." Affinity groups are defined as “a group of people sharing a common interest or goal, or acting together for a specific purpose.” At this time, members of our school community and equity teams have made specific requests for an LGBTQIA+ group, an AAPI group, and a BIPOC group. We welcome additional affinity groups as part of our work in equity, inclusion, and anti-racism.
These groups, which will meet approximately three times per year, will serve as an advisory group to the District Equity Team by offering their experiences, their voices, their interest in collaborating with us and their resources. To indicate your interest in participating in one of our affinity groups, please add your name and contact information to one of the forms that can be found HERE. Should additional Affinity Groups be requested, we will include sign-up information in the Spotlight newsletter and on the district website.
If you have a suggestion or a desire to partner with the district equity team in creating any additional affinity groups, please contact Lisa Steiger at firstname.lastname@example.org or your building principal.
