Gearing Up for "Journeys"

June 2, 2015

Journeys in Grades K-2

Approximately 280 teachers across the district engaged in Journeys professional learning last week in preparation for the 2015-16 school year! A special thank you goes out to the following schools for offering to host a cluster training: Toomer, Peyton Forest, M.A. Jones, Continental Colony, and Scott. Additional training is being scheduled during July 30-31 with a number of clusters already securing a date/time.

Some materials have already shipped with additional quantities tentatively scheduled to arrive in early July. A packing slip will be enclosed identifying shipped resources. Upon receipt, schools should carefully check each packing slip and verify all items have been received. If there are any questions, schools should contact our Houghton Mifflin Harcourt representative, Latrelle McCall, directly rather than customer service or district staff members. Ms. McCall will research any order concerns and will provide feedback directly to schools regarding resolutions.

Visit SharePoint to access resources available to support with implementation of Journeys within your school. At the site, you will find a descriptive list of all the components purchased by the district, a list of all digital resources available, and pricing information. Note that Title I funds can only be used to purchase items from the "Price List for Product Not Purchased by the District" list.
