MOLIN NEWS
Good Afternoon Molin Community,
Monday and Tuesday the Molin School is having our second annual Wellness Days! The Molin School has been implementing social-emotional learning for ten years and is also a trauma sensitive school with 17 staff certified in Trauma and Learning from Lesley University. The Wellness Days focus on the teaching and modeling of strategies to help students cope and manage stress as well as promote well-being.
Fourth grade takes place on Monday and fifth grade takes place on Tuesday. Students will participate in a variety of activities focused on self-care and wellness. They will have yoga with Beth Houlihan from Roots to Wings, create chalk mandalas on the blacktop, participate in a guided meditation and gratitude activity with our school counselors, and take a nature walk with their teachers and classmates on the Rail Trail. Each student will receive his/her own “Molin Wellness Kit” to take home. Please have students bring a beach towel to school to place over their yoga mats.
STEM SHOWCASE
Our 5th grade STEM Showcase was outstanding! Make sure to ask your children what they learned.
Pride Month
We are committed to integrating representation of diverse populations in our curriculum throughout the school year; June is an opportunity to highlight age-appropriate books and media for Pride Month. Our counselors have prepared a selection of materials for classroom teachers to integrate into their classrooms. If you would like more information or access to materials to further conversations at home, please contact Siobhan Green (4th grade) or Maggie Flaherty (5th grade).

PTO Notes
Soccer Snack Table
The PTO runs a snack table on Saturday mornings at the Cherry Hill Soccer Field. We can use donations of baked goods/gatorade/powerade/granola bars- really anything would be great. Store bought items also work. We also need a few volunteer shifts covered.
Sign up here.
Please drop off your donation at the field as early as 8:00 a.m. If you are not able to drop off by 8:00 please contact us to make arrangements for pick up or drop off the day before.
Coins for a Cause in June!
This June, the Institution for Savings will donate their fee for using their coin machines (5% of your total) to the PTO. In the past, this has added up to a very generous donation. Thank you for considering!
