Counselor's Corner
Here is a great video to share with students about young people their age and what being "responsible" looks like in action: (The main responsible in action portion ends at the 2:30 minute mark)
A few discussion questions:
1. Describe the different ways kids in the
video show they are responsible?
2. What is one lesson you can learn from
this video?
3. How do you plan on continuing to be
"responsible" for the rest of the school
year?

This Week in AVID...
This Week in AVID - January 27, 2020
The “W” in WICOR stands for Writing to Learn. Students who write to learn retain more learning and practice the art of reflection as related to specific, teacher-driven learning objectives. AVID Learning Logs are an important part of the writing to Learn process. Also, teachers benefit from Learning Logs as formative assessments to design their instruction. Try some of these Learning Logs to see which best one suits your classroom.
