TODOS: mathematics for all
TODOS: Mathematics for All is a mathematics equity organization that was established in the years 2000 to 2003 through initial efforts from the Equity and Diversity Advisory Committee (EDAC) of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM). The group advocates for equity and high quality mathematics education for all students, in particular, Latina/o students.
TODOS: Mathematics for All will recognize up to six Columbus area students in Grades 5-12 at a ceremony following the Keynote Presentation on Friday, October 20, 2017, at the Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics Conference in Columbus. The Keynote presentation is scheduled from 11:00 AM – 11:50. Each student will receive a calculator donated by Texas Instruments and a certificate from TODOS. Nominating teachers of award winners will receive a one-year membership/extension in TODOS and a recognition certificate.
Please consider nominating a student for this award by completing this linked application by Friday, October 13, 2017 and forwarding to: mark.jaffee@ohioctm.org.
