Required Instructional Components
The list below includes the identification of required District Instructional Planning Components, based on the goals within the District Strategic Plan. Campuses need to implement the following:
*Ensure use of District Curriculum and Unit Assessments
*Include required District Lesson Plan Components in all lesson plans
*Strive for a consistent campus-wide template for lesson plans
*Store lesson plans in a single location, accessible to District personnel (recommendations include electronic copies stored in a Google Drive folder or on the Schoolnet calendar or paper copies stored inside classrooms)
It is important that you share this information and your campus plans with your staff prior to the District-directed professional development day.
Consultants and Balanced Literacy and Contracts
Outside consultants to support District programs or initiatives must be vetted by the corresponding department. Before securing consultants for professional development, campus support, or purchasing of resources for intervention, please contact the appropriate supervisor. If your August PD includes support from an outside consultant, email the description and supporting materials to the appropriate supervisor immediately. This step is necessary to ensure that we provide a consistent, quality support that is aligned with the District.

PLC Info
Conderations:
- Should you have PLC's every other week, how will you accomplish all that needs to occur?
- Should you rotate K/1 only meeting every other week while all other grades are weekly, how will you manage the perception?
- Should you time slot be allotted in the AM. Have you considered that the meeting can begin before school starts so the meeting is longer?
Below you will find links to information pertaining to how I have conducted PLC's in the past. Please feel free to view and use.
