Mrs. Smith’s Snapchat…
Hello Lakeside Families,
What a great week we have had with our students! Next week is our last week of school for the 2020 - 2021 school year. We have so many great experiences planned for next week. We look forward to having all of our students at school and enjoying this time with them before break! All of our students are encouraged to attend school in person and virtually through the end of the school year!
Students will participate in our 4th Quarter CORE Celebration on Thursday, May 27 and we will have Field Day on Wednesday, May 26! They won't want to miss these fun experiences!
As a reminder, next Thursday, 5/27, and Friday, 5/28 are early release days for all students. Elementary students will be released at 2:05 pm on both days. Please plan accordingly for bus drop-offs and for car rider pick-ups.
As always, I thank you for your continued support of Lakeside Elementary! Take care, be safe, and have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Smith

Notes from Nurse Wolf
Medication in the Clinic
If your student has any kind of medication in the school clinic, please be sure to pick this up by our last day of school, Monday, May 28. In Warren Township, students grades K-8 are not allowed to transport medication on the school bus; therefore medication must be picked up by a parent or guardian, or someone designated by the parent or guardian over the age of 18 years old. Any medication not picked up by the end of the school day on May 28 will be disposed of appropriately by our school nurse. We cannot keep medications in the clinic over the summer break. Please call Mrs. Wolf at 317- 532-2855 if you have any questions.

PTA Message
Dear Lakeside Parents,
We are excited to share that our school is part of the Coca-Cola Give program. This opens up Lakeside Elementary PTA to new funding opportunities to help improve learning environments for Lakeside Students.
The best part? Donations do not come out of your own pocket. When you make Coca-Cola purchases,
you simply enter the product codes here: coke.com/give/schools and our school receives a donation.
If you wish to send in the coke bottle caps or coke rewards from inside the can cartons, we will be happy
to enter the codes.
Help Lakeside make the most of this program and learn more at Coke.com/give.
Thank you,
Lakeside PTA

iPad App Support
In order to help with some of the recurring app issues some students are experiencing, we ask that you share this quick how-to video in your newsletters so that parents may perform the reset if needed. This reset will put the iPad into the JAMF management system and allow us to ensure there are fewer issues. If they have any issues, they will of course be able to contact us for assistance via the helpdesk or the Moorhead Chromedesk.
Teachers in the classroom are also welcome to do this if they notice an iPad is still on Filewave (our old management software).
The video is linked below. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Each device is covered by a district-sponsored insurance program for damage. This keeps charges for both intentional and accidental damages low. CAR RIDERS/DAYCARE Student Drop-off/Pick-up Procedures
We ask that our parents follow these guidelines to ensure that every student has a safe arrival and dismissal:
All students will be required to be dropped off and picked up through the car rider line to maintain safety standards. Parking at the front and East end of the building and walking children to and from the entrances will not be allowed. We want to prevent children and adults walking through the path of cars or buses on the property at any time.
Staff members will be present outside beginning at 7:55 a.m. each morning for student drop-off. Please do not release your children until a staff member signals the beginning of our process. Students will not be counted tardy until 8:05 a.m. Our afternoon pick-up procedures will begin at 3:00 p.m. If you are in a hurry, you are encouraged to be at or near the front of the line. We will implement our dismissal procedures as quickly and safely as possible for all.
Thank you very much for your support with helping ensure Lakeside maintains safety as our priority during our student entrance and dismissal each day!
DON’T FORGET TO PICK UP YOUR CAR RIDER SIGN IN THE FRONT OFFICE!!

SCHOOL DISTRICT PUBLICATIONS/NEWS MEDIA USE
The occasion may arise when the school district wants to recognize your child or your child's school. This may include your child's photo, your child's name or your child's work in district publications, newsletters, on school district websites, and in electronic/social media or in staff training videos. We may also want to tell the media (including newspapers, television, and radio) about your child's achievements. We never knowingly release information about a student to anyone who wants to use it for commercial/political purposes. However, we will honor your request to not include your child in these types of recognitions if you notify your child's school office in writing that you do not want this type of information released.
