Congratulations to everyone who took part in sports again this week. Most of our competitions are now into the cross over sections of play, which means our teams are now competing for their final placings in competitions. As our teams move into this we wish them all the best.
With the upcoming Parent-Student-Teacher interviews, games will continue as normal, if you have a practice scheduled please talk directly with your coach or manager to see if this will be continuing as previously planned.
Most of our teams will be continuing in term 3, although we are still waiting for draws for after the holidays. Please make sure you continue to check with the relevant organisations for draws as they become available.

Results
Badminton
C & D Grade Badminton got under way this week. For many of these players it was their first time in a competition setting. Well done to all those who took the court this week, may you enjoy the rest of your season.
B grade
In the last round of the competition, the boys had everything to play for against Strathallan. The winner would claim the championship! After a rocky start losing the first two games, it wasn't looking promising when Jordan Turner-Malopito was down 11-5. But in true Rosehill College fashion, Jordan sparked the comeback winning his singles 21-20. Nixon Wong won his singles to even the ledger heading into doubles.
In doubles, we managed to maintain our momentum to win the two games to seal the victory 4-2.
This team has demonstrated characteristics that are worthy of a Team of the Year nomination as they have defended their title, continued to develop talent and demonstrated great sportsmanship throughout.

1st XI Boys 2 v Sancta Maria 1
The 1st XI boys were down on their luck after recent defeats but were looking to finish the round off with a win. After a fast start and a few missed chances, Raheesh Nabeel managed to score his first goal of the season after some scrappy play in the box. Sancta Maria came out all guns blazing in the second half, managing to pull level at 1 a piece. The boys dug deep and piled on the pressure, with Mohjit Singh dribbling the entire defence and slotting the match winner. The 2-1 win managed to place the team in second overall for the pool which is a great result.
1st XI Boys 4 v Manurewa 1
With one day's rest between games, the First XI boys were raring to continue their hot streak against Manurewa, who we had previously lost to earlier in the season. The lads were hot out of the blocks, dominating the opening phase of play. A lovely free-kick into the box from Lachlan Grant was pounced on the volley by Abuchi Mouka, who whipped in an absolute screamer into the top right corner. The team was hungry for more, and after more possession, Lachlan Grant buried one to make the score 2-0 at the half. As they say, Football is a game of 2 halves, and the second was the same as the first! Captain Mohjit Singh continued his scoring streak with a nutmeg to the keeper to go up 3-0. Our final goal was sent into the box through a lovely pass from Aayush Kumar to Haitham Alaukati, who was cool under pressure and slotted the 4th. Manurewa managed to score from a corner late in the game, but it was too little, too late, with the final score being 4-1.
Great to see the team develop and stand tall with back to back wins with standout performances from Haitham Alaukati, Liam Powell, Mohjit Singh and Jesse Meikle.
