Shield Volcanoes

Lava pours out of a vent and hardens on top of the previous layers. It builds a wide, gently sloping mountain.

Composite Volcano

When lava flows with explosive eruptions of ash, cinder, and bombs. They are tall, cone-shaped mountains in which layers of lava alternate with layers of ash.

Cinder cone volcano

The volcano's lava is high in silica that produce ash, cinders, and bombs. They build up around a vent around a cinder cone volcano.
