Class Placements Requests
Class placements for the upcoming year are such an exciting time! At Grant, we do not take teacher requests but we do work extremely hard to make sure each student is in the very best place for his/her learning. We take into account academic levels, social interactions, learning styles, friendships, and any and all other information we can gather to make the best classes possible. We strive to make balanced classrooms full of students who love learning! Moreover, we have not settled on who will be teaching what classes next year. If you have any extenuating circumstances that may require further assistance, please email Mrs. Todd at email@example.com and she will assist you.
A message from Mr. Callahan, Superintendent
Board President Chlebowski, myself, and a team of parents operating through the Superintendent's Leadership Advisory Committee have been working very hard be be advocates for increased funding for schools. We have met with Capitol legislators and staff and continue to engage with their teams. Friday, I was on the phone with Assemblyman Muratsuchi's staff. Here is the good news:
Yesterday, Assembly Bill 2808 passed its initial test and has been send to the Assembly Appropriations Committee. We need people to voice their support for it and stand up for our schools, as this bill represents a significant influx of resources for PCS. Sacramento is fully aware of the grassroots advocacy movement taking place throughout the nation. Your contact to our legislators on the committee (see link below) makes an impact. Please take 5 minutes to both spread the word to your fellow Petalumans and Californians and let these assembly folks know how you feel.
Lorena Gonzalez Fletcher is the Committee Chair and her email link is here: Assembly Chair Gonzalez Fletcher's Contact Link
The rest of the Appropriations Assembly Committee can be viewed here: Appropriations Committee Members
Our Advisory Committee did a great job of kick starting this movement and I have included them below as another resource:
Thank you for your consideration.
