It's September!
Tomorrow we welcome our kindergarteners and preschoolers to the building! Kindergarten Families should see the arrival and dismissal plan below. Preschool families will meet their child's teacher at the front door.
I also wanted to take a moment to share one of my core beliefs and a note about how "my true principal's corner" in the building runs. I am a big believer that everyone is capable of being loved and all students should feel cared for and supported in our school community. We do this each day by listening, giving student's choice, and by holding them to high expectations.
Throughout the year, there will be times your child makes mistakes, as we all do. We will use these times as learning opportunities together. Your child may visit me time to time for positive reasons and some not so positive reasons. They might also mention me, purely because we stopped to chat in the hall, had lunch together, or I challenged their class with something. Please know I care deeply for your child (even the ones I haven't met yet) and will do all I can to support them this year!
In partnership,
Mrs. Lindsey Fulton, Principal

Staffing Updates
- Please welcome Jamie Jones to the Killam Community. Mrs. Jones has previously subbed in the building, but now will be a Kindergarten Paraeducator in Ms. Cole's Room. Welcome!
Arrival & Dismissal
- All doors will open promptly at 8:15 AM
- Students not in car drop-off or on a bus should enter through their external classroom door. Door locations can be found on the map below.
- Staff will be holding signs up the first week of school at their doors. Staff will also be available to help at all locations outside.
- Students arriving after 8:25 AM will have to enter through the front door and will be marked late.
- The car drop-off lane is the same as before (for now). Please wait on Charles Street until 8:15 AM. We ask that all parents/guardians remain in the car, pull up ALL the way, and exit right onto Charles Street. Our goal is to make the process run more smoothly each week!
- A video will be shared with more details before Wednesday!
DISMISSAL:
- The dismissal process will begin at 2:40 PM for buses and extended day. Students not on buses or at extended day should be picked up at their external doors noted on the map at 2:45 PM. Please coordinate with you child's teacher if your older child will walk to a younger siblings door. Staff will continue to monitor and assist the first few weeks.
- Please arrive early the first few days to find parking along Haverhill St or Charles St.
