Blanche Dodd Bobcat News

August 11, 2020

A message from Principal Bolz

We are eagerly anticipating the start to the school year. We hope you are as excited as we are! To help prepare for a smooth start, we are hosting a drive through supply drop off and Meet the Teacher Night on Monday, August 17th for all in person learners and on Tuesday, August 18th for all remote learners. Remote learners will pick up needed materials at that time.

While you may have purchased many school supplies, we understand that COVID-19 has created quite an economic struggle for many of our families. If you are struggling to purchase some of the items for your student, please reach out to your child's teacher or the school counselor, Mrs. Roesler. We will make sure students have the supplies that are needed.

We also understand that some of the cleaning/sanitizing products are currently scarce. Please don’t worry about the lack of availability. Feel free to send some to school with your child throughout the year as they become available.

Please take a look at the information provided in this newsletter, and get ready for a GREAT year!

It's a GREAT day to be a Bobcat at Dodd Elementary where we are...

Six Houses...One Family!

Phone Calls to Students

Dodd teachers will be contacting their students by phone on Friday, August 14th to welcome them into their classroom for the 2020-2021 school year. Calls will be made 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. We can't wait to welcome you back!

Safety First

During the supply drop off or pick up, all staff members will be wearing a mask and gloves to protect and promote student and staff safety.

Technology Supplies

All students are encouraged to provide earbuds or headphones (labeled with their name) for use at school. These were added to many supply lists. In addition, students may bring a computer mouse (wireless or corded) for use at school. A computer mouse was NOT part of the school supply list and is NOT required; however, if you prefer for your child to have their own equipment, please label the mouse with their name. These items may be placed in a Ziploc bag (labeled with their name) to keep at school. Please do not send expensive items that may be lost or broken.
