Imagine-Chancellor Chargers
September 2021 Newsletter
In this Together
As we complete the first month of school, our community has experienced a myriad of emotions. I am so thankful for the outpouring of support our teachers and staff have received to welcome our students back to campus. The unique dedication and commitment to our school is what makes Imagine-Chancellor shine! We are so grateful for all of you!
We have started this school year with a lot of curiosity and love of learning which will be highlighted throughout this newsletter. Our ultimate goal is to empower our students to become caring, responsible, productive, and accountable as they learn in the classroom.
We are committed to ensuring the health and safety of all our students and staff as we continue to deal with the effects of Covid. As conditions change, we will continuously update everyone to ensure the learning environment is safe for all students and staff.
This newsletter will equip our Imagine-Chancellor families with important information regarding updates, so please take time to read.
Together, we will continue to make learning a top priority for our students. Thank you and always remember we are #ImagineChancellorSTRONG!
With much love and appreciation,
Ms. Standley
Principal
A message from the desk of the Assistant Principal...
Please don't hesitate to reach out to myself or any staff member if you have questions, concerns, and suggestions to make our Imagine-Chancellor family the best that it can be for everyone! We continually strive to communicate, make changes, and empower our students with a love of learning. This year we will continue with our Positivity Project, so don't forget to ask your students about the focus of each week. The lessons allow our students to learn skills and character traits to apply in and out of the school setting. Once again, we look forward to another great year together. Go Chargers!!
Sincerely,
Mr. Watts
Assistant Principal

Stay- Home Directive Update
When students are in quarantine at home, they must complete their work via google classroom and contact their child's teacher for any questions or concerns.
If your child is issued a Stay-Home Directive due to exposure to someone who tested positive for COVID-19, below is the following guidance. As local conditions change, these requirements may be adjusted. We will update as we receive guidance from local public health officials.
• If your child is not exhibiting symptoms (asymptomatic), and fully vaccinated (two weeks after their second dose in a two-dose series), or has tested positive in the last 90 days, they WILL NOT be required to stay at home.
• If you, as the Parent or Guardian, provide documentation that your child is fully vaccinated, your child can remain at school, or return, upon providing proof of vaccination.
• Or, if your child had a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 90 days and you provide proof of the confirmed case, your child can return to school immediately.
In addition, your child can return to school if he or she meets one of the following criteria:
1. The student is asymptomatic and receives a negative diagnostic COVID-19 test after four days from the date of last exposure to the COVID-19 positive individual. The student can return on day five with a negative result from a PCR test performed in a laboratory or by a medical provider. Any results from a “home test” will NOT be accepted. (email/copy/screenshot acceptable for each). OR
2. The student is asymptomatic and seven days have passed since the date of last exposure to the COVID-19 positive individual. *Return Date will be provided by the school.
If your child is symptomatic or COVID-19 positive, one of the following criteria must be met:
1. Student receives a negative test and is asymptomatic.
2. Ten days have passed since symptom onset or positive test result, the student has no fever for 24 hours and the student’s other symptoms are improving.
3. The student receives written permission from a healthcare provider to return to school.
*Test Date will be provided by the school.
Numerous safety procedures take place at Imagine-Chancellor including, but not limited to, social distancing when possible, increased sanitization, MERV-13 filters installed in all compatible units, UV lights on HVAC in high traffic areas, electrostatic sprayers, and much more.
