Routines Based Interview
A Wholistic Approach to Assessment!
Join Us For This Special Opportunity!
The Routines-Based Interview
is used with families, teachers and caregivers in many states in programs serving children ages Birth through age 8. Participants will receive an intensive hands-on
training opportunity including demonstration, practice and feedback. This is an opportunity to learn
the process of a routines-based interview which leads to building stronger family relationships, writing
more functional IEP goals and rating preschool outcomes.
Although the Routines-Based Interview was developed specifically as a tool to include families of
young children in the assessment and goal writing process for their child, RBI is being successfully
for older children as well. This is especially helpful as
children transition from one environment to another as it allows educators in the new environment
to have a more in-depth look at not only current functioning but progress.
When used with both family AND educator, everyone wins!
