Parents may ask you if they should send their child to school. Please refer them to Nurse Lewis and/or Share the following resource: Should My Child Come to School?

Please don’t show up early at pick up because it doesn't allow the class before you to pick up on time. Following the time slots that we at CCA made allows traffic to flow quickly, cutting down on the traffic congestion in the neighborhood and roads. We also don't change pick-up times or locations due to older students being sick or in an after-school activity. If you have a 5th grader and a Kindergartner and the 5th grader has an afterschool activity, you will still pick up your Kindergartner at the 5th-grade location. Consistency is tremendous for everyone, and we ask that you please read the student/parent handbook about traffic policies. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Sadie in the front office; she will be happy to speak with you.

The PTO Hospitality team is getting ready to prepare our wonderful Thanksgiving baskets that we do for the staff every year. Due to Covid, the PTO will be purchasing items and building baskets. We would like to ask if you could please contribute a $5 dollar donation to help make these baskets special. You can send $5 dollars in cash in an envelope to the front office or you are welcome to Venmo Mrs. Sourial, our PTO Hospitality chair at My Venmo @Natalie-Sourial. The SAC Committee will be putting out their annual survey in January and will need the help of 10 volunteers on January 13, 2023 to help with the Flyer Frenzy. They will need individuals to help pass out flyers reminding families to complete the survey by the deadline during carline pickup. If you are interested in helping and earning 1 volunteer hour - sign up here. The time is from 2:45-3:45 pm on Friday, January 13, 2023. Thank you in advance for your help!

• Spelling Bee practices will be on Tuesday and Friday mornings, from 7:15 - 7:45. All 5th - 8th graders who would like to participate in the spelling bee should join Mr. Geltman in the modular classroom. We will start practices on Tuesday, November 15th and end on Friday, December 2, 2022. Students who participate in the spelling bee practices will then be given a written test. The top ten will participate in the school spelling bee. This will be held only with the spelling bee contestants on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 8:15 am. The top four CCA winners will participate in the CCSD spelling bee, and the fifth place winner will be the alternate.

• The CCSD Spelling Bee will be Friday, January 27, 2023. Qualifying students will also attend the CCSD Oral Spelling Bee on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Please contact Mr. Geltman at sgeltman@cherrycreekacademy.org with any questions.

Parents, each year we put together a slideshow video of our 8th graders and show it at graduation. We are asking that you please fill out this form in order to submit a baby/young child photo of your 8th grader and a current photo of them to be shared at graduation. National Junior Honor Society is starting soon! Our first informational meeting for students only will be on Tuesday, November 15th at 7:30 am in Mr. Leins’ room. The club is for 6th-8th grade students. NJHS will aim to develop its five pillars (scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship) in students and involve students in school activities and service events. The Winter Music Festival will be in person this year on Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 6-7:30 pm. More information to come soon, but we are excited to have this wonderful performance in person again!

We have a bulletin board that needs to be book and winter themed in the lobby that Rachel Brooks could use some help with. If you would like to earn a few volunteer hours (dependent on how long preparation and display take) I would love to have your help. I probably only need 2 volunteers for this. Keep an eye out for a flyer coming home with your children this week from Original Works! Original Works is a great fundraising program for our PTO that places your children's artwork on fun items that make perfect gifts for grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings and friends! Your child will be bringing home a flyer with easy instructions and a unique code to find their special art project. If you do not receive a flyer, your child will be participating in the program in the spring session. Thank you for your support of the Cherry Creek Academy PTO!

Orders placed by 9pm Mountain Time on that date will be processed and shipped to the school as per the date on your date confirmation schedule.

Orders placed after that will be in the Late Order Phase and will arrive separate from the main orders. Late Orders will probably arrive in January.
