Read Across America Day Was a Huge Success!
“National Read Across America Day” was a huge success. We welcomed more than 60 readers from every facet of our community: police officers; Peer Leadership students from Weehawken High School; librarians from the Weehawken Public Library; members of the Weehawken Women’s Club; and administrators from throughout the school district. Local businesses helped too, sending readers from Spirit Cruises LLC and UBS Financial Services Inc. We kicked off the week with School Spirit Week and students had to come to school dressed in many different ways.
March Math Madness at DWS!
DWS students and their parents joined the "March Math Madness" on March 15th. Students were engaged in many different math activities. These activities were designed by the DWS teachers, who volunteered to showcase many of the math concepts that students are learning in class. Parents had the opportunity to watch their child participate in this fun event. ST Math, Ozobot City, many math activities and a visit from JiJi were on exhibit.
