Troy 30-C Monthly Happenings
April 2023

Superintendent's Corner
Now that spring is in full swing, and the flowers are in full bloom you can feel the excitement in students and staff as we are about to begin the final month of the 22-23 school year. Our staff has worked tirelessly each and every day to educate students and improve their lives. I know they will continue to strive for excellence as we turn the corner in the final month of school. There are so many exciting things to look forward to in May. Our buildings will be participating in field days, end of year events, and family events. Our 8th grade students who have worked so hard throughout their time at Troy 30-C will graduate at the end of May. It's hard to believe that you can fit so much excitement in one month! I hope you are all taking some time with your children to hear about all of the exciting things they are doing in school.
I want to give a special thank you to those who attended Coffee with the Superintendent on April 12. It was wonderful to hear from our Troy Families and community members.
-Dr. Paul Schrik

Personalized Parking Space in honor of our special guest
Students learned about Mr. Korman's writing career and what inspires him during the grade level assemblies.
On Thursday, April 27th, New York Times best-selling author of middle grade fiction Gordon Korman spent his day at WBO. During the day, Korman, author of over 100 award-winning books, gave several presentations and led a writer's workshop for future authors. Prior to his visit, all students received a copy of his book Masterminds to read at home with their families. Staff and students also participated in a door decorating contest, judged by Korman himself. Winners of the contest received a free, autographed copy of one of his books.
