How can families help with School-wide BINGO?
On Friday, May 3 all Franklin students will be playing BINGO during the afternoon. We will announce numbers over the intercom system as students are in classrooms with their BINGO cards. This means that there will be roughly 450 students playing at once and there will be many, many winners for each round.
We are looking for prize donations. Below is a list of inexpensive items that families could donate:
Candy, Stuffed animals, Coloring books, Books, Hot wheels, Pop, Juice boxes, Pencils, Pens, Markers/crayons, Notebooks, Water bottles/cups, Nail polish, Hat, Fruit snacks, Sports stuff, Shoelaces, Sidewalk Chalk
If you are able, please feel free to donate from this list or any other items that you or your child(ren) think of.
Donations can be brought to the office, and we thank you in advance for your generosity.

What does being an AVID school mean for Franklin?
Have you seen the 2019-20 School Calendar?
How did Book Fair and Potlucks go during conferences?
Thank you to all the parents who brought in potluck items. The staff commented on how great it all looked and shared gushing remarks about various dishes each night.
Thank you also to the parents and students who volunteered at the Scholastic Book Fair and to all the families who purchased books. We sold over $3065, so Franklin will receive over $2145 in Scholastic (or 70% of sales). Additionally, we raised $62.36 for All for Books and those funds were used to purchase books for the Media Center. Scholastic matches those funds and donates books to schools and individuals throughout the country.
Can I still turn in Milk Moola?
No. The last of the Milk Moola was mailed over Spring Break. The program has officially ended, so please recycle or toss any milk lids or labels as Franklin PTO is no longer collecting them. We'll receive over $119 for the Milk Moola submitted this spring. Thank you for your support.
Do you want an excuse not to cook dinner on April 9?
Join us for Franklin's Scoopie Night Fundraiser at Culver's of Mankato on Madison Avenue from 5-8 p.m. A portion of all sales during this time will be donated to Franklin Elementary School PTO. It's a great excuse not to cook, so share the date with friends and family.
Have you ordered a yearbook yet?
The Franklin Elementary School 2018-2019 Yearbook is currently on sale for $13 each. If you forgot your order at home, they must be turned in by this Wednesday. To order a full-color, soft-sided yearbook for your student, either return the Lifetouch order form with payment or order online at https://ybpay.lifetouch.com School ID Code: 11838219 Additional order forms available in the school office.
Do you want to help shape next year's PTO activities and budget?
Plan to attend the April 2 PTO meeting, as elections will be held for 2019-20 PTO officers and we'll start a discussion on funding priorities for next year. The April 2 PTO meeting runs from 6:30-7:30 in the Media Center and all are invited to attend. Free child care will be available.
