Summer 2017
Crawford's Corner... A Message from the Principal
Walking into the great expanse of the Frank Erwin Auditorium on June 1, 2017, leading the graduates and staff, filled me with a sense of pride I’ve never experienced before in my life. The graduating class of 2017 welcomed me as their principal, and I was certainly sad to see them go, but I know that they are moving on to bigger and better things. I am grateful that I got to witness their wit, intelligence, humor, athleticism, creativity, and above all, reverence for Crockett High School. Graduation capped off a perfect ending to a fabulous first year.
Teachers, staff, and community members – we have worked together to make this year successful, strengthened our mission, and set the ball rolling to continue with strong academics and top-quality programs.
AND now it is time for all of us to welcome in a new group – the class of 2021! I can’t wait to welcome you to our campus. I want you to get excited about your new experiences and challenges. Make new friends and grow with your old ones. Let yourself be a part of this amazing school and community so that you will understand what those before you know: what it means to be filled with COUGAR PRIDE!
Congratulations to the 2017 GraduatesII
Cougar Cub Camp
ATTENTION CLASS OF 2021: Cougar Cub Camp August 7th (9:00 - 3:00)
Don't miss this FUN and EXCITING opportunity to see old friends, meet new ones, and learn about high school!
Crockett High School is a caring community of students, families, and staff that promotes success for all. The first opportunity to begin the transition to high school is the Crockett August Cougar Camp. The Camp is for students to develop the foundation that will allow them to become successful ninth grade students and high school graduates. The day will begin with registration and greetings at 9:00am and will end by 3:00pm. We have planned a series of fun and organized activities intended to help students develop self-esteem, team building, problem-solving, communication, and social skills. At the same time, students will be meeting fellow classmates, teachers, counselors, principals, etc. and becoming familiar with the layout of the school as a whole. Parents are important members of the Crockett team. We encourage you to transition into the role of high school parents by attending the Parent Breakfast on Monday, August 7th at 9:30am.

The Austin Revolutionaries Exhibit
The Austin Revolutionaries Exhibit was the culminating capstone project for the 2016-2017 freshmen and sophomore Entrepreneur class. Each student was required to research and create a presentation about a revolutionary person in Austin that has made a lasting and positive impact in the community. There were six categories students were allowed to chose from; government, business, activism, food, art, and education. Each student conducted research, created a presentation and "pitched" their Austin Revolutionary to the class. The students voted on the top eight Austin Revolutionaries that would make it to the final round. The student that made it to the final round was considered the team lead and was allowed to chose their own team from the classmates.
The banners of each Austin Revolutionary are on exhibit at the Manchaca Library at 5500 Manchaca Road across from Crockett High School. The final exhibit highlights the contributions of Navdeep Sooch, Clifford Antone, John Mackey, Heloise Gold, Mike Judge, Brett Hurt, L.C. Anderson and Sally Hernandez. The students learned many real world skills throughout this project. They were required to work collaboratively in small teams, time manage and complete assignments under deadlines, communicate with adults via email and phone, create a multimedia website and learn various graphic design software. The exhibit will be at the Manchaca Library for the next 6 months, please visit and support Student Inc at Crockett High School.
