From the Principal's Desk

We will be celebrating last year’s outstanding growth with student’s next week. As always, they are the reason we do what we do. We hope they’ll have some fun and feel proud of what their hard work brought.

Please remember that students must arrive on campus either as walkers, bus riders, or car riders. If you are a car rider, please remember that you must drop your child off in the designated carpool area only. It is unsafe to let your child out of the car in other areas of our campus. The only students who may be walked in by parents are our pre-k kids. We appreciate in advance your helping keep all our kids safe.

From Our PTA

All you need is Love... & BOOKS!

Thanks to a gift from Morris Commercial, a CGE family-owned business, the PTA gifted each homeroom class with a $65 gift certificate to Scholastic Books to help expand classroom libraries, and fun bookmarks for students. This Valentine's-themed surprise helps support CGE's commitment to literacy.

Gator Cookie Delivery

CGE's beloved Gator delivered cookies to the three classes that collected the most items during the school-wide holiday food drive. Thanks to our CGE community, our school made a considerable donation to CORA Food Pantry. Congratulations to Mr. Armstrong (first grade), Ms. Teta (kindergarten), and Ms. Bonenberger (second grade) and their students!

Attendance/Appointment Reminders

Students arriving late or leaving early for an appointment will need to turn in a doctor’s note for the absence or tardy to be excused.

Early check out during school hours ends at 2:30pm.

Think First & Stay Safe Program

A letter (linked) should have come home with your student regarding CGE’s participation in the Think First & Stay Safe™ child personal safety program January 31st- February 9th. There is no need to return the signed bottom portion of the letter unless you would like for your child to opt out of the program.

Each week, we will be highlighting some of our K-5 students for receiving a shout-out from someone in the school community. We are so proud of these students for exemplifying CHOMPS expectations throughout the school! Below are the shout-outs for the week of January 24th. Great job, gators!
