Greeting SELC PK Families,

I want to extend Eid mubarek to our students, families, staff, and members of our larger community who observe Ramadan. Today is Eid al Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan. Those observing Ramadan do not eat or drink anything from dawn to dusk and today celebrates the end of a month of fasting. Translated in English, Eid al Fitr means "Festival of Fast-Breaking.

What a busy and exciting first week back! We had a visit from UCONN dental and nutrition students in our Head Start classrooms. They will return next week to visit Integrated and PK STEAM. See below for some pictures!

The EPS Art Show kicks off tonight from 7-9 and open on Saturday from 12-3! This event is always AMAZING! Hoping to see you there!

Please join the EPS community in celebrating the arts at our 57th Annual Arts Festival sponsored by The Woman’s Club of Enfield. The festival will be held in the Enfield High School Cafeteria on Friday, April 21st, 7:00-9:00 pm and Saturday, April 22nd, 12:00-3:00 pm.

This year’s attractions include:

• Artwork from students in all PK-12 schools
• Large collaborative installations centered on this year's theme of Multiples
• Interactive art activities
• Art-making demonstrations from Enfield students
• Performances from Enfield's Musical Arts Department
• 7th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser- all proceeds benefit the Enfield Food Shelf
• Fundraisers, raffles, and refreshments
