Happy New Year
It is my hope that each of you have thoroughly enjoyed the winter break. I don't know about you all but I am happy that we return with a two day work. Looking forward with excitement to remainder of this school year.
Eye on Instruction - a new feature of this weekly newsletter.
One of the primary reasons for having a weekly newsletter is to ensure that faculty and staff members are aware of major school events that are happening her at DFES.
I am looking to evolve this platform to some degree to include an instruction related article, vignette, and/or link for us all to consider as we seek to leave a positive imprint upon this great profession.
So in the spirit of the new year please consider the following link below.
Just a reminder that Rocky Stewart will fill in for Beth during her maternity leave. We will share the details of Mr. Stewarts responsibilities. For this Thursday and Friday please notify E. Perkins for any discipline related issues.
School Psychologist medical leave
Our school psychologist Alice Bayless is on medical leave. Please see the email that I sent on December 12 regarding the district psychologists that will be filling in for her during this absence.
Student Advisory Council
We recently created a student advisory council comprised of 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. I will meet with these reps on Friday at 9:00 a.m. in the cafeteria. The purpose for this group is to give students at our school a meaningful voice in helping to further improve our school.
