Principal's Corner

Welcome back from what I hope was a wonderful winter break. I hope you were able to enjoy time with family and were able to rest and recharge for the new year ahead. We are certainly excited to welcome students back to school today and tomorrow.

We are hitting the ground running as we return from break and near the half way point in our school year. Winter NWEA testing begins this week starting with the reading test. Students also have the opportunity to compete in our school spelling bee starting with a written pre test next week for those that signed up. We are looking forward to this opportunity with the hopes of offering more opportunities like this in the coming months when we are able.

As we continue in our hybrid model, Pine Street is offering two timeslots on Wednesday afternoons for students to come into the building and work. Each Friday you will receive an email with the sign up link for the following week. This is a great opportunity for students to work on missing work or have access to the internet to complete assignments.

We continue to be impressed with our students both in the classroom and virtually. Their ability to adapt and their perseverance will serve them well in the future. Our staff also appreciates all of your help and support at home as well. Please continue to reach out to your child's teacher or the office with any questions or concerns.

Your partner in education,

Robyn Robinson

NWEA Winter Testing

Winter NWEA testing is coming up. Classes will be taking the reading NWEA test the week of January 4th and the math NWEA test the week of January 11th. Your child's teacher will be in touch about the exact day they are testing. Please be sure that your child gets a good nights sleep the night before and eats breakfast that morning so they are ready to do their best. We are excited to see how much the students have learned and grown since the start of the school year.
