Monday, Oct. 4th is the first official day of our Elites Running Club!! Students should come dressed to run with reusable water bottle. Please be in the SIDE car loop at 4p to pick up your runners.

Walk To School Day is Wednesday October 6th. We will meet at the Fire/EMT Station sidewalk at 7:15 am and walk to school together! Families are welcome to join in the fun!

Thursday, Oct. 7th, is PINK Day in honor of breast cancer awareness! Students are encouraged to wear PINK attire to honor the survivors/current fighters on staff and in our school community.

The Westside Staff and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Thank you to everyone who submitted their names for our School Advisory Council! We will be sending home ballots in Thursday folders soon. Please return these to your child's teacher. Our next meeting is on October 18th @ 3p.

Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

If you are interested in being part of our PTO, please return the form in your child's Thursday folder. We are looking for volunteers and board members. Our next meeting is on October 27th at 3:30p. Title 1 Updates

SAVE the DATE for our Title 1 Math Night on November 4th from 5:30-7p! This will be a "drive-through" or "walk-up" experience for families. Each family will receive a FREE fun and helpful math activity to build foundational math skills at home. Plus, every family has a chance to win prizes for participating! More information coming soon!

Westside Explorers Are Learning Every Moment of Every Day!

Kindergarteners in Ms. Cartechine's class wrapped up their 5 senses unit with a fun taste test! They worked on building vocabulary such as bitter and sour. Some liked the flavors while others were clearly uninterested!
Fourth graders in Mrs. Baker's class dissected owl pellets to see the transfer of energy in food chain.

Please send a mask and reusable water bottle with your child daily!
