House Bill 5 Course Substitution Training - Required for MS/HS Case Managers
HB5 allows for course substitutions where appropriate for learners whose ARD or 504 Committee determines the recommended course is inappropriate for the learner. This decision can be based on a number of factors. This training will acquaint CISD Middle School and HS Special Education Case Managers/504 Campus Coordinators of our process for making a course substitution.

Personnel Updates
We are continuing our search for an educational diagnostician. We have interviewed and hope to have the perfect candidate on board soon! In the meantime, please be flexible and patient as Dr. April Dyke and our diagnostician team continues to work hard to cover all of the assessments, ARDs and other duties vacated by this position.
Additionally, we currently have two Speech Pathologists out on medical leave. It is a challenge to say the least, but thanks to Becky Rainbolt and some of our former SLPs all services are getting covered. Please support these ladies as well!
Educational Foundation Grant Winners
Congratulations to our very own Physical Therapist, Allison Clark and our Assistive Technology Occupational Therapist, Greta Graham! They applied for and were awarded a grant for a HeadPod. Watch the amazing brief video on the link below to learn more. Way to go ladies!
