PTA Meeting
Counselors' Corner
This week in School Counseling Instruction, our Upper Elementary and Erdkinder students have had lessons on change, transitions, and ending the school year in a strong way. Students are writing words of encouragement for students younger than they, as they prepare to be in the next year of their developmental level, or even move on to a new developmental level altogether. We're so thankful to be your students' school counselors, and to be there for them throughout their transitions here at Charles Ellis Montessori Academy!
Camp Aloha is a weekend camp for children who have experienced the death of a loved one, set for the weekend of April 29. Open for children ages 6-17 who have had a death of a loved one recently, Camp Aloha is an excellent opportunity for youth who are grieving.

The language for identifying/naming COURAGE in "The Self-Awakened Child" series by Jonathan Wolff:
- When I make a mistake and I tell the truth about what I did, I am acting with Courage.
- When I keep trying to learn something that is hard or scary for me to do, I am acting with Courage.
- When I try a new food or talk to a child in class I did not know before, I am acting with Courage.
