The dedication he shows to his students is unbelievable, even during the Covid-19 pandemic. Students respond very well to him and he is a wonderful role model to these young adults. Thank you Mr. Wright for "bringing back music to Queen Anne's!"

Shining Star Award
June Shining Star: Sarah Williams, 5th Grade Teacher
Nominated by: Michelle Carey, Principal, Kennard Elementary
Mrs. William's goes above and beyond on a daily basis! She is such an asset to KES! Although she teaches 5th grade, she is our resident Technology Guru and at the drop of a hat will assist any of her teammates and any other staff in our building. She is a quick study and quite proficient in the area of technology.
Additionally, she has been instrumental in KES getting our Sustainable Green School certification and served on that team; she assisted in developing an exceptional website with our school artifacts and Green School components.
Mrs. Williams also serves as a 5th Grade SIT representative and is very engaged with her input and suggestions for the benefit of our students.
Last but not least, she serves on our PTA Board as a staff (and parent) representative! She went above and beyond during Teacher/staff appreciation week to make our KES staff feel extra special! She is truly a "SHINING STAR" at KES!
