Preschool Activities to Keep Them Going

A Little About Me

I was born in New York, but raised in Kansas. Some of my hobbies consist of art type activities, writing, and playing the viola. I love being with kids and am very patient when dealing with them.

Reading

Reading plays an important role in the development of a preschooler. Understanding letters and sight words are the first step to being able to read fluently and expand their knowledge. Math

By teaching it in the context of preschoolers' everyday lives -- at school, at home, and in the community-- students begin grasping the basic concept of it's real life use. Math doesn't exist only on paper or a white board; preschoolers learn math best by doing hands on activities. Science

A basis of science for preschoolers include Life Science, Earth and Sky Science, and Physical Science. The best way for students to understand how certain things work is a hands-on experience so they can visually identify the causes and effects. Social Studies

History is an important piece in the future of America, for people learn from their mistakes. Starting their understanding of the past is good in their mental growth.
