Boomerang Award January: Asset # 9: Service to Others

Claire McDonnell is no stranger to serving others. From the time she was a young child she had a keen sense about those in need. Whether it is packing her unused toys or outgrown clothes for children in a Ukrainian orphanage or moving and storing food for the “Aid for Friends: at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. You can always count on Claire. Nothing has caught her imagination more than the Hope4Hails fundraising events in town. After Doyle’s car wash, Claire thought about creating her own fundraising event. Knowing that Hailey loves her dog, Claire thought a “Dog Wash” would be a fun idea. Recognizing the limitations of having this type of event, she thought of the “Holiday House”. For the last 3 months, she was worked out the details for a January 2014 launch (see attached flyer) with their management. Holiday House will donate up to $15,000 of proceeds to the trust. Claire can’t wait to help wash lots of dogs! Click here for flyer!
