Weekly Update 1/21/22
End of the Second Marking Period
As the second marking period ends and the third marking period begins (start date: Monday, January 24th), please note the following information:
- Cycle classes (art, financial literacy, STEM/computer programming, etc.) change each marking period. Students should check OnCourse prior to Monday so that they know which class to attend (the cycle classes take place in period 1 for 6th grade, period 2 for 7th grade, and period 4 for 8th grade).
- Report cards for the second marking period will be available in OnCourse on Monday, January 31st.
Prom Shop
Each year, the PRM Student Council sponsors a 7th and 8th grade dance. This has typically been held in late January, although we have moved the date to a later point in the school year with the hope that any potential impact from COVID will be far less (the date for the event is Friday, April 29th.
The PRM 7th/8th Grade Dance is a formal event for which students dress up. With that in mind, we pass along this notice from Morris Hills High School:
On Saturday, January 29th, Morris Hills High School in Rockaway is holding a FREE Prom Shop from 9:30 AM until noon. They will have hundreds of dresses available, including shorter dresses that are suited for the 8th grade formals/dances. All the dresses are FREE and this event is open to the public. The entrance to the school and parking for the event will be located on the side of the building. It will be marked with fluorescent signs and balloons.
Pillar of Character
The 6th grade teachers are happy to announce Joshua Zlotkowski for the Pillar of Trustworthiness. Joshua’s teachers can trust that he will be an active learner in their classroom. He demonstrates responsibility and a strong work ethic. His teachers know they can count on him to actively participate in class. Congratulations, Josh!
