Read the press release below to learn more about an incredibly generous gift BJAMS has recently received. God is good!
Big picture

Our PTO is the BEST!

Our PTO has secured pumpkins for each family enrolled in our school! We will be bringing pumpkins to your K-8 car on Monday, October 26, at dismissal. PK families will grab their pumpkins outside of the PK/ASP entrance at dismissal. Is your child attending ASP on Monday? That's ok! You can grab your family's pumpkin when you pick up your child. A big thank you to Rachael Grant for securing pumpkins for our pumpkins!

All Good Things Must Come to an End!

Our outdoor soccer season for all grades will conclude on Thursday, October 29. Many thanks to Coach Buczek for coaching all of teams this year!

All Saints' Day

All Saints' Day is a solemn holy day of the Catholic Church celebrated annually on November 1. The day is dedicated to the saints of the Church, that is, all those who have attained heaven. It should not be confused with All Souls' Day, which is observed on November 2, and is dedicated to those who have died and not yet reached heaven.

Although millions, or even billions of people may already be saints, All Saints' Day observances tend to focus on known saints --that is those recognized in the canon of the saints by the Catholic Church.

All Saints' Day is also commemorated by members of the Eastern Orthodox Church as well as some protestant churches, such as Lutheran and Anglican churches.

Since All Saints' Day falls on a Sunday this year, we will celebrate this important feast on Friday, October 30. Students have been working hard, studying saints, creating art, and writing reports. In the past, we have held presentations after Mass as a whole school. This year, due to health and safety protocols, we will be taking a slightly different approach! Many classes have been working with our in-house improv expert, Mr. Stein, on skits. We will work on recording the skits so classes can view them after Mass this coming Friday.

Family Travel Survey

We have received a pretty decent response over the past week - thank you to those who took the time to complete the survey. If you have not yet had a chance to complete the survey, please do so this weekend. (click here to access it). We will begin contacting families who have not completed the survey early next week, as we need 100% participation on this survey to determine our next steps as a school. To be clear: it is our hope that families will adjust their travel plans to reflect the recommendations from the Vermont Department of Health; we want to remain open for in-person learning through the holiday seasons!

Are You Interested in Subbing at BJAMS?

BJAMS is home to some of the best kids and teachers in all of Lamoille County! How would you like the opportunity to work with them and help BJAMS at the same time? Here's your chance! We are looking for substitute teachers and would love your help! If interested, please email Carrie Wilson to schedule a Zoom session to learn about the wonderful opportunities here at our school.

Office Calls

Please refrain from calling the school from 2:45 pm-3:00 pm, unless you're making an urgent adjustment to your child's pick up schedule. That fifteen minute window tends to be a bit hectic, as we are calling car numbers for dismissal to ensure a smooth departure for our students and families. Thanks!

Remember, all students who remain at 3:15 pm are automatically sent to ASP, so you don't need to worry about making that frantic call when you're stuck in Stowe traffic - we've got your back!

Is Your Middle School Student Interested in Learning the Chinese Language?

Classes will be held via Zoom starting Wednesday, October 28 at 3:30 pm. Please see the flyer below for details and contact information!

Things are getting spooky in here!

Check out these watercolor spider webs.

Flying toy demo with Mr. Stein

Thanks to Mr. Stein, students began to understand how to create flying, spinning discs.

What's going on with the community garden this week?

Prototype hoop huts! Students learned about the value of this structure to protect their garden from weather and seasonal changes. Then they created their own version that would help our sprouting plants. Next, week we build the real thing!
