Rocco's corner
It is great to see all teachers at their doors throughout the three minutes of transition each period. This is keeping behavioral incidents from happening.
Emergency supplies will be ordered this week, based on the responses from the survey I sent out in August. Teachers will soon be able to replenish their buckets for this year. The new supplies will be given to teachers at the front office by Ms. Watson.
You need to check and make sure that your bucket is complete and fill out the survey linked here if it is not.
Tutorial Buses
Please keep a log of students that attend our tutorials.
SPED
IEP progress reports are required to be sent home on the same schedule as student report cards- every 6 weeks. The SpEd case managers will be sending out progress forms electronically on 9/16/16. These forms are required from ALL teachers and are due to the case managers on Friday, 9/23/16 at 4:00 pm. If you have questions about how to complete the forms, please ask Ms. Johnson or the student's case manager.
Thank you for all you do for our students.

Cornell Notes Q&A
Q: My students took Cornell Notes. Do we write the questions now?
A: Questions in the left column are written 24 hours (or more) later. After completing the note-taking, students should circle key words, highlight or underline important information, compare their notes with a partner & revise if necessary. They can also mark the information they expect to be on the test. In a day or two, return to the notes to write questions on the left that can be answered by the information on the right. Then write a short summary at the bottom of each page of notes.
