Principal's Spotlight Book for December
From Mr. Coovert...
In the month of December students will be learning how to be grateful for things, and most importantly, people in their lives. Students will be given a gratitude journal during their lesson with instructions of how to use it. We want students to have a goal of writing in it twice a week. Please ask your student about the gratitude journal as they will be bringing it home. We ask that you help remind them to get into the habit of thinking and writing about things they are grateful to have in their lives.
You may want to do this yourself and I encourage all parents to begin a gratitude journal as well using the tips found in your student’s notebook.
You may also want to check out some videos online about the power of gratitude. I good place to start is searching for TED Talks videos. TED Talks has some amazing videos about the power of gratitude. I encourage everyone to watch them and then with your children if you want. My recommendation is to google “Ted Talks Gratitude” and see what videos pop up.
