Dental Screenings Starting February 4th
Starting on February 4th, 2019 the Dental Team from Bryan Community Health Center/Health Partners of Western Ohio will be coming to Bryan Elementary and Bryan Middle School to offer dental exams, teeth cleanings, fluoride treatments, and dental sealants for our preschool-8th grade students. This is a great opportunity for our students to be seen by a dentist and dental professional without having to leave the school. If you wish to have your child seen and need a new consent form, please contact the school nurse at firstname.lastname@example.org or 419-633-6233.
Bryan Elementary is about to take part in a special, community-wide shared reading event. Every family will receive a copy of the same book- Beverly Cleary's The Mouse and the Motorcycle- and will be asked to read it together at home. We will be having a special school wide assembly on Friday, January 25 to kick off our event. On January 25 each family will bring home one book. Generally you will be asked to read 15 minutes per night. We will also have a Bryan Elementary Youtube channel that you'll be able to access as well that will have all chapters being read.
This is a novel program in that the children of all grade levels PK-5th will all be listening to their parents/guardians read the same book. We are so excited to have all of our students participating in this school wide event and even more excited to have this involve our parents and community. We know you'll enjoy this reading time with your children. We are excited to learn of the adventures of Ralph, Keith and the infamous motorcycle.
When a whole school reads a book, there's a lot to talk about. With your help, we can build a community of readers at our school.
