Principal's message - week 18
Greetings North Plains Families!
I just realized I said we had a full week of school last week, where was my head! But we do have 2 more full weeks before winter break, unless we have an unexpected snow storm..... NO!
I hope you all enjoyed the 4 day weekend. And if you are a Duck fan, you loved the game! I enjoyed some time with my parents down in Southern Oregon and am glad to be back here in North Plains with our wonderful kids:)
Earlier this year I wrote about a great book for families called "Table Talk Math" and am planning to have a family math night using things from the book on Tuesday, Jan. 23. We will have 2 break outs, one for families with students in grades K-2, and one for families with students in 3-6 The book is really great and gives ideas for parents to talk about math with their kids in everyday conversations. If you are interested in the book, the link to find it is https://www.amazon.com/Table-Talk-Math-Practical-Conversations/dp/1946444022/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1496765989&sr=8-1&keywords=table+talk+math
