PTO/PTA Updates
Meeting Change for April 2014 - We are moving the April PTO meeting to April 17th at 7:00 p.m. (there will be no meeting on April 10th). A representative from the Indiana State PTA will be attending. We will complete our paperwork and any questions we have will be answered. Please feel free to join us if you are interested in learning more!
Thank you to those parents who are joining us in our inaugural PTA membership. We now have the minimum number required to start-up. There will be another opportunity to join in the fall with the 2014-15 school year.
Restaurant Night
Restaurant Night is Wednesday, March 19th, and will be at Chipotle! Keep an eye out for flyers sent home and help support Central! Hope to see many of you there!
Talent Show
The Talent Show is coming up, so mark your calendars for April 25, 2014. Permission slips will be sent home soon!
April 12th is Landscape Day!
Enjoy a few hours outdoors in the wonderful spring weather (finally!!!!) AND make Central more beautiful!!! Starting at 9:00 a.m., enjoy a cup of coffee, a bagel or donut, then dig in with your rakes, shovels, and wheelbarrows as we clean up and mulch the flower beds!! Even an hour of your time would be appreciated! The more students and parents we have, the faster the work goes! To volunteer or ask questions, please contact Brian Stage at 464-3815 or knollstage@frontier.com.
Funding Factory
Parents can send in used inkjet and toner cartridges, old cellphones, MP3’s, digital cameras, GPS, and laptops for us to recycle for money for Central. A collection box is outside of Central’s office, on the 3rd floor.

Junior Acheivement Needs You
The purpose of JA is to educate and inspire young people to own their economic success and teach them about the real world! No economic background or teaching experience is necessary—just an interest in being involved in your child’s class.
Here’s all it takes to be a volunteer:
· Attend a 1 hour training session with JA Manager, Roz Malouhos. You are given all the information you need with detailed instructions on how to do it. It’s easy!!
· You’ll arrange five short visits(less than 45 minutes each) with me
Absolutely anyone can volunteer! It doesn’t matter if you are a business professional, college/high school student, stay-at-home expert, retired or self-employed.
Please email Roz Malouhos, JA Rep at rmalouhos@jachicago.org or phone 219-263-9843 to participate as the JA volunteer for my classroom. Thank You!
