A Message From Our Superintendent
Dear GPISD Parents/Guardians and Families,
As we begin a new school year, we have yet another opportunity to demonstrate excellence in all areas and remain a performance leader in the great State of Texas. Regardless of the stage- academics, athletics, fine arts, or any other area involving our outstanding students and staff, Galena Park ISD welcomes the opportunity to show the world the greatness that has become a trademark of our district.
Please allow me this opportunity to remind everyone of Galena Park ISD.’s mission to “prepare students to become productive citizens and lifelong learners.” We take this mission very seriously, and every decision is rooted in the responsibility entrusted to us by each of our stakeholders. Thank you, parents and family members, for your support as we work together to educate your child(ren). Know that every employee of Galena Park ISD is committed to your child(ren)’s success, and we will strive each day to help every child fulfill his/her potential.
As a reminder to us all, we will continue to practice good hygiene habits reinforced by our recent experiences. The precautionary health measures we adopt as individuals may vary, depending on our unique circumstances. Ultimately, being considerate, respectful, and kind to those around us is the best thing we can do to ensure each other’s health and well-being.
Sincerely,
John C. Moore, Jr., Ed.D.
