Walnut ASB Holds Senior Sunrise this Morning

The Class of 2020 came together this morning on the football field at 6:30 am to watch the sunrise as a senior class. Seniors ate breakfast together, took photos, brought a blanket down to the field and came together as a group. It was a special moment for our seniors who had a chance to connect with each other and come together as a family.

BOYS BASKETBALL LOOKING FOR A VIDEO AND STAT MANAGER!

Boys Basketball is looking for a student manager who would like to be a video manager and/or stat manager.


Video Manager duties include filming games, uploading games for team to watch, helping out with technical support for program.


Stat Manager Duties include gameday stats, analytics, scouting, and helping coaching staff with reports on team productivity.

YOUTH EDUCATION SUMMIT 2019

Youth Education Summit is an event for high school students to learn about the college application process and explore their future career interests. The day consists of workshops, speaker panels, and small group discussions for students to interact with working professionals and learn more about post-high school education.

APEX event is completely free and no-strings-attached for students to attend. The event is open to all high school students; they only require that students register in advance as space is limited. The event will be held at General Assembly in downtown LA. The event is scheduled on Saturday, October 5th 9:30 am-2:30 pm, and the exact address is 360 E. 2nd St, Suite 400, Los Angeles, CA 90012.

In conjunction with the event, they also run a scholarship program and grant three scholarships of $500 each. The scholarship is intended to pay for educational expenses such as tuition, and all students who attend our event are eligible for the award. SCHOOL OFFICE HOURS

The school office staff works hard to provide the best quality service to students, parents and the community.

The front office is open from 7:00 am -3:30 pm Monday-Friday.

School Lunch Policy

Due to safety concerns, we DO NOT accept student lunches in the office. We understand the importance of student nutrition, but we encourage students to either purchase lunch at school or bring their lunch from home. Food, drinks, or other items are NOT to be passed to students through the fence. This is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.


Please Note: Parents can now access the Food Services Department from our website under the Parents tab. On that page, parents can set up and deposit funds into their student's lunch account for purchasing lunch on campus.

ADMISSION DECISION - 14 KEY FACTORS

UC faculty have established 14 factors that can be considered; these factors are not listed in any priority order:



  1. “a-g” GPA including additional points for UC-approved AP and IB course, and college/university courses; and for California residents only, UC approved school-based honors courses
  2. Examination scores: SAT or ACT Plus Writing (SAT Subject Exams are optional, but may be recommended by some majors on some campuses-for more information, go to: admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/freshman/requirements/examinationrequirement/SAT-subject-tests/index.html
  3. Number and content of “a-g” courses beyond the minimum
