Dear Parents,

What a week! We have all 4 seasons of weather, our Year 3 students ventured to Penguin Island for their excursion with staff and some enthusiastic parents, our Yr 4 – 6 Swimming Team competed at the Interschool Competition down at Aqua Jetty in the rain (great effort guys), we had the first of our two Edudance Concerts which were high-energy and engaging, and our Year 2 class entertained us with their assembly this morning. A huge thanks to all the parents who came to our P&F Meeting after assembly, this was a great discussion with lots covered. A particular thanks to Jacquie Deshon, our Wellbeing Coordinator, for coming down to introduce the Friendology Program to parents and to discuss opportunities for parent workshops on Cyber Safety here at school.

I hope you all have a great weekend and we look forward to a short week of fun and learning to end the term.

Penguin Island Excursion

On Thursday Year 3 Red and 3 Blue went to Penguin Island and it was amazing. We saw so many penguin houses. Exploring the island was the best part because there were caves. The sand felt squishy between my toes. Just before lunch we attended the feeding session. The lady who hosted the session told us lots about penguins. Their predators are sharks and seals. At the end we built sandcastles and there were three teams that won. It was a wonderful excursion.

We had so much fun at Penguin Island. We enjoyed dipping our feet in the water and best of all was the sandcastle competition. All the castles were awesome. When it was judging time there were two groups that got a tie. My group and Kayde’s group won. We had an amazing day at Penguin Island.
