The Teacher Center of Broome County will be offering a free Substitute Training Workshop on
This six hour interactive workshop provides training in instructional techniques, along with classroom and behavior management strategies. The workshop will focus on the skills needed for a substitute teacher to succeed in the classroom.
The training session is free, but registration is required. Participants should bring their own lunch.

Teacher Center of Broome County
The Teacher Center of Broome County is funded yearly by a grant from the NY State Education department. A Policy Board composed of 51% teachers, as well as representation by administrators, community, parents, higher education and business governs it.
Broome County Teacher Center Consortium includes: Teachers in all Broome County districts EXCEPT those that work within the Johnson City and Union Endicott districts, which have their own Teacher Centers. Also included are teachers from BT BOCES, BC Headstart, Hillel Academy, Greater Binghamton Health Centyer, Children’s Home of Wyoming Conference, Ross Corners Christian Academy and all Catholic schools in Binghamton.
